New starter covering Northern England

New Sales Manger Mark Austin to give SPI more Northern exposure Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) manufacturers Styrene Packaging & Insulation (SPI) have brought on a new Sales Manager for the North of England, who will be travelling throughout the region to meet customers and increase awareness of the company’s wide range of building insulation and packaging products.

Mark, who has worked in construction sales for more than thirty years, is looking to introduce distributors, contractors and house builders to SPI’s range of high performance insulation products designed for walls, roofs and floors. He will also be introducing new civil engineering voidfill products to engineers, specifiers and architects via CPDs.

“SPI have a fantastic range of products which can be used in both residential and commercial projects whether they’re refurbishment or new build. With the continuing shortages of PIR insulation in the market we are in a great position to offer Stylite PlusTherm as the perfect alternative, similar u-values can be achieved at half the cost and on much shorter lead times.”

SPI have been growing year on year, as demand from the construction market and in particular the house building sector continue to grow. They are now one of the largest manufacturers of EPS in the UK with factory and office premises in Bradford, West Yorkshire.

“Having worked in insulation sales for similar companies over the last 18 years I’ve built up a lot of contacts and experience in the industry,” continued Mark, “which I’m already putting to good use.”

“I’m looking forward to bringing my own expertise to SPI, in particular within the roofing market, as we look to expand our distribution and specification sales with the introduction of new products such as the Flat Inverted Roofing Insulation and Cut To Fall Insulation.

Joe Edge, Managing Director of SPI, said: “Mark brings a huge amount of experience and a highly positive attitude to the role, and we welcome him on board at this exciting time in the company’s history.”
